The 1st team completed 2011 season in 4th place in division 2a. It was so close at the top of the division; if we converted two of our draws to wins, we would have been in contention for promotion. The 1st team also were finalist in the Aylward Cup. The 2nd team had a large turnaround of players; supporting the 1st team and finished in 8th place and again with another win would have placed us well into mid table. Similar stories in the 3rd and 4th teams again with supporting senior sides resulted in difficulties with selection.

An increasing number of Colts players supported the men’s teams, with some outstanding individual bowling and batting performances. This is really good news for the future of our club. However, we do need to recruit new adult players to get experience into all teams. We are therefore advertising for new players, particularly spin bowlers, inviting them to our indoor nets in January.

Our annual Lashings match took place on a wonderful summer’s day and proved to be one of the best ever days; attracting a very large crowd. We will be hosting Lashings again on Friday 8th June 2012 followed by our annual summer ball on the 9th June 2012.
